What did your experience entail?
My Wife and I decided to book a Rural Escape for Two at the Stag in Maidwell. The rain was torrential on our booking day, so we planned to stay put in the pub. We found the staff to be warm and welcoming as they showed us to our room and later as they served us dinner and drinks; which can be purchased separately upon arrival. The room was clean and tidy, with everything we needed for our short stay. We had a pleasant evening chatting, and the beds were very comfy. The next morning, we were served a veggie full English breakfast with a large flask of coffee, which set us up for the day. The pub is located nearby Foxton locks which was made for a lovely morning walk along the canals.
What did you enjoy the most?
The cosy Bed and Breakfast, hospitality, and good food.

I still haven’t received the pack in the post even though I ordered it on the 18th of December, with a promise of it being here before Christmas 2/5 day delivery

The Downe Arms Hotel
This hotel was a great find. Location is ideal for the East Coast resorts. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Views from our room were fantastic, busy road outside our room but it didn't bother us. The breakfast was amazing and set you up for the day. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Voucher exchange
Had to exchange voucher as unable to attend experience bought at any venues near me. Thought this would be a good option but, after exchanging, found that most of the hotels were not available for my dates. This should be made apparent on the website before exchange. This my choice of hotel was very limited. Opted for the Downs Arms. On arrival, was greeted with a white frosty reception. Staff seemed unable to locate the booking information from Activity Superstore. Fortunately I had all the details with me. Hotel and room was comfortable but dated and service was a bit hit and miss.
Would not recommend Activity Superstore vouchers as a gift.
