What did you get up to?
We made our way to Number Twelve to enjoy our afternoon treat before attending the theatre. The service was very friendly and the tea itself was delicious. The building was very grand and everything inside was clean and well kept. The afternoon tea was served on a modern three-tiered stand which was a quirky twist on the usual traditional stand. There were generous portions and we both left feeling satisfied and full. Then it was time to make our way to the theatre. This was easy to find and near the afternoon tea venue. We felt our day in London was a total treat and would be a great experience for marking a special occasion.
What did you enjoy the most?
The show itself was excellent! The singing, choreography, costumers and set design were incredible. We vaguely knew the story line beforehand but left with a different perspective of the whole Wizard of Oz story.

Terrible
I had to continually chase on the day for the arrangements. The theatre didn't have our tickets, but eventually found them. Not so lucky with the hotel who turned us away and said there was no booking. Complaint to the provider went unanswered. Lots of promises to call back and nothing. AVOID!

Theatre and tea
When we arrived for tea it wasn't booked so we paid for lunch and then had to pay for a taxi to theatre as it was a long way to walk and no buses. We didn't enjoy the Woman in Black but that was just our opinion.
I did ring up the next day and was told I would be refunded but not heard anything so far.

Dinner and 39 Steps
The Meal was very small and only cost £15 each if you went outside of any deal. I am Gluten-free and and what they offered as an alternative was so small.
The play was so outdated and although many keep going, for us it just seemed like over the top acting and not at all what we had expected.

Theatre and dinner experience.
After many attempts we finally managed to achieve our objective in using a gift of dinner and theatre tickets, for two, in London.
Dinner in Covent Garden was excellent, staff only to pleased to help, then onto the Theatre to see Woman in Black.
I must admit I was rather sceptical, there being only three actors but, the performance was excellent and our overall experience was first class.
