Upcycling is a phenomenon that is sweeping the globe, with the idea of reducing our carbon footprint, and to make use of old but incredible pieces of design that still have a lot of life left in them!
This is your chance to enjoy a workshop that shows you how to do just that, making jewellery from discarded bits and bobs like maps, bits of typography, sheet music and comic books. Your designs will then be encapsulated in silver plating, and can be boxed up, ready to give to someone special!
Choose whether to make cufflinks, a necklace or a keyring during your workshop. You’ll then choose whether you’d like your piece to be round or square. The workshop will last for around 2 hours and you get to leave with the piece you’ve produced, to proudly show to the world.
Your fun and friendly instructor for the day will be there to talk you through what you’re doing, help where you need it and offer tips and advice on how best to put your piece together. A whole heap of fun, and a brilliant way to make use of old works of art in a brand new way.
