Nationwide Gliding Experience

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year, subject to availability and weather conditions
• Some venues are only open on selected days/months - please see the venue list below for details if different
• The individual requirements of each glider club vary
• General guidelines are minimum weight 7 stone, a maximum weight of between 15 and 16.2 stone depending on the type of aircraft in use
• Maximum height 6ft 2ins
• Spectators are welcome at all venues and most have clubhouses offering refreshments
• All clubs included in the nationwide gliding experience voucher are BGA approved

Locations

• Kent Ashford - Squids Gate, Challock
  • 2000ft aerotow with around 20 mins flight time

• Devon Honiton - Dunkeswell Aerodrome

  • 30 minute flight in a motorglider
  • Weekdays and weekends throughout the year

  Essex Sudbury - Ridgewell Airfield

  • 2000ft aerotow with around 20 minutes flight time
  • Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between April and November

  Leicestershire Lutterworth - Husbands Bosworth Airfield

  • One winch launch lasting up to 20 minutes
  • Husbands Bosworth Airfield - 7 days a week between May and October

  Peterborough Crowland - Crowland Airfield

  • 2000ft aerotow with around 20 minutes flight time
  • Crowland Airfield - Weekends throughout the year

  North Yorkshire Selby - The Airfield

  • 2000ft aerotow with around 15 minutes flight time
  • The Airfield - Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Please note bookings require a minimum of 90 days before the expiry date. Bookings made after this date can only be accepted if flight slots are available

  Warwickshire Bidford on Avon - Bidford Airport

  • 2000ft aerotow with around 15-20 minutes flight time
  • Bidford Airport - Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year

The gift vouchers you use for your experience gifts typically have a 12 month validity.

If you have not used your voucher in this time, please contact us and we may be able to help extend the deadline by up to a further six months.

There is an administration fee to extend the validity of a voucher.
